
HIV Testing and Counseling
There are many reasons to have an HIV test. HIV counseling & testing is an important part of good health care, The only way to know if you have HIV is to be tested. It is now possible to have an HIV test and receive your results the same day.
Free Walk-In Anonymous Counseling & Testing is available every Thursday from 8-11:30am.
When you present for an HIV test, just inform the front desk that you are there for confidential testing. Your name will not be taken and a counselor will confidentially meet with you.
Partner Notification
If your test is positive, sex and needle sharing partner(s) need to be notified and given the opportunity to receive counseling and testing. This is a very sensitive task. Public health personnel can either tell your partner(s) or help you determine how best to tell your partner(s). By law, public health personnel cannot tell your partner(s) the time or place of possible infection or your identity.
