Hill
County Family Planning provides preventive health care to low income
clients in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, and Phillips Counties. We
can be reached by phone at 265-5481 ext 256. If there is no
answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon
as possible. Our office hours are 9-5 including the noon hour
Monday-Friday. We have a satellite clinic in Malta where the nurse
practitioner sees clients at least two days per month, and provide
outreach in Chinook.
A wide variety of services is provided by a certified nurse practitioner and a registered nurse. These services include:
- Reproductive Health Counseling
- Educational services
- Physical examinations
- Cervical cancer screening
- Self-breast exams
- Tests for iron deficiency and rubella immunity
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Urinalysis for sugar and protein
- Dispensation of contraceptives
- Pregnancy tests
- Testing for vaginal infections e.g. “yeast”
- STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) testing and treatment as available Inter-agency for other problems
- Referrals to private MDs
Family Planning services must be voluntary. We have the potential to reduce the incidence of abortion by preventing unplanned pregnancies.
